Protests Erupt in Shergarh Over Martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader

OKARA – A massive protest rally was held in Shergarh, Okara, on Sunday to condemn the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. Hundreds of participants took to the streets to voice their outrage against Israel and the United States, expressing unwavering solidarity with the Iranian people.

The atmosphere was charged as protesters chanted slogans against foreign intervention, with the air echoing with cries of “Labbaik Ya Hussain.”

Demonstrators Condemn “Open Aggression”

The protesters marched through the main streets carrying banners and placards inscribed with anti-Israel and anti-US slogans. Community leaders and participants characterized the targeting of Iran’s leadership as a provocative act of “open aggression” that threatens to destabilize the entire Middle East.

Key points raised during the demonstration included:

  • Sovereignty Violations: Speakers noted that attacks on Iranian leadership are a direct violation of international law.

  • Call for Global Intervention: Protesters urged the United Nations and the international community to take immediate notice of the escalating tensions.

  • Diplomatic Pressure: The crowd demanded that Muslim nations form a united front and take strict diplomatic measures against the alleged aggressors.

A Warning for Regional Peace

During their addresses, several speakers warned that if international organizations remain silent, the prospects for peace in the region will vanish. “The world cannot afford to look the other way while regional stability is being dismantled,” one speaker noted.

The rally concluded with a special prayer for the martyrs, the prosperity of Iran, and the restoration of lasting peace in the region.
