SIX GIRLS, INCLUDING MUTE-DEAF TEEN AND MAIDS, ABDUCTED IN SAHIWAL

SAHIWAL (Staff Reporter) – In a deeply alarming spike in crime, six girls—including a deaf and mute teenager and two domestic twin-maids—were abducted in separate incidents across Sahiwal. The incidents took place within the jurisdictions of Fateh Sher, Ghalla Mandi, Farid Town, Yousafwala, and Harappa police stations. In one of the incidents, the suspects also plundered cash and gold ornaments worth Rs. 1.2 million from the victim’s house.
While the police have managed to arrest six suspects, none of the abducted girls have been recovered so far.
Series of Bold Abductions
According to police sources, the targeted incidents occurred across different localities under well-planned execution:
Tariq Bin Ziad Colony: 17-year-old Samreen, daughter of Muhammad Latif (resident of Chak 80/5-L) who worked as a domestic helper, was forced into a car and kidnapped by suspects identified as Waheed, Zain, and Naseem Bibi.
Green Town: Another 17-year-old maid, Rafia, daughter of Zainab Bibi (resident of 111/9-L), was forcefully bundled into a rickshaw and abducted by a suspect named Faisal Baloch.
Farid Town (I-Block): In a heart-wrenching incident, Fariha Aslam, the 17-year-old deaf and mute daughter of Kausar Bibi, was bundled into a car and kidnapped in broad daylight by Barkat Ali, Hasnain Ali, and two unidentified accomplices.
Chak 53/5-L: Alisha (17), daughter of Parveen Baloch, was snatched from her home and driven away in a car by suspects Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Arshad, Shakeel, and two unidentified men.
Chak 190/9-AL: Sidra, the sister-in-law of Zakir Hussain, was intercepted and kidnapped by unidentified perpetrators.
Home Invasion and Robbery in Arazi 86
The most violent encounter took place in the Arazi 86 area, where suspects identified as Muhammad Babar, Waqas, and Ishtiaq stormed the residence of a local landlord, Ghulam Abbas. The men dragged away his niece, Fizza Riaz. Before fleeing the scene, the abductors held the family hostage and forcefully stole Rs. 200,000 in cash alongside gold jewelry worth Rs. 1 million.
Police Action and Legal Proceedings
Following public outcry and complaints filed by the victims’ families—Muhammad Latif, Zainab Bibi, Kausar Bibi, Parveen Baloch, Zakir Hussain, and Ghulam Abbas—the Sahiwal police registered six separate cases under Section 365-B (Kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel for marriage, etc.) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

“Raiding teams were immediately dispatched across the district, resulting in the successful arrest of six suspects involved in these networks. However, the top priority remains the safe recovery of the victims, who are still missing. Special investigation units are utilizing geo-fencing and tracking data to locate the girls safely.”
