Pakpattan: Woman Tortured to Death by Husband; Suspect Attempts to Cover Up Crime

PAKPATTAN – A harrowing case of domestic violence has surfaced in the outskirts of Pakpattan, where a man allegedly tortured his wife to death and subsequently attempted to disguise the murder as a natural passing.
Details of the Tragic Incident
The incident occurred in the 193 EB area, within the jurisdiction of the Ahmad Yar Police Station. According to reports, the suspect, identified as Shaukat, subjected his wife, Sumaira Bibi, to brutal physical violence. Witnesses and local residents claim the assault was so severe that the victim succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
The Suspect’s Deception
In a calculated move to evade justice, Shaukat allegedly staged a cover-up. Sources reveal that he placed his wife’s body in an ambulance and drove to his in-laws’ residence. Upon arrival, he informed his father-in-law, Anwar, that Sumaira had been ill and tragically passed away while he was transporting her to the hospital through rescue 1122.
Police Action and Witness Statements
The deception fell apart when Sumaira’s father and relatives noticed visible marks of violence and bruising on her body. Their suspicions were further corroborated by witnesses who told the police they had seen Shaukat mercilessly beating his wife prior to her death.
