SAHIWAL — In a swift operation, the Yousafwala Police have tracked down and arrested four suspects involved in assaulting a citizen and circulating the video of the incident on social media.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was conducted under the direct orders of District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu. The police utilized modern technology and human intelligence to successfully trace and apprehend the individuals.
Key Highlights of the Incident
The Crime: The suspects brutally assaulted a citizen of Chak 79/5L Sahiwal and recorded the act, later uploading the footage to social media platforms.
The Arrest: Yousafwala Police acted promptly using advanced tracking methods to locate the culprits.
Current Status: A formal case has been registered against the suspects. Further investigation is underway to ensure they face strict legal consequences.
Zero Tolerance for Vigilantism
DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu issued a stern warning following the arrests, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
“No individual will be allowed to take the law into their own hands, torture citizens, or glorify violence by spreading such videos on social media,” DPO Tipu stated. “Indiscriminate action will continue against elements that dare to challenge the writ of the law.”
