Sahiwal Police Crackdown: Two Drug Peddlers Arrested, Nearly 4kg of Hashish Recovered

SAHIWAL: In line with the strict directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, a district-wide crackdown against drug trafficking is underway. Sahiwal Police launched two separate successful operations, arresting two notorious drug dealers and recovering a total of 3,700 grams (nearly 4 kg) of hashish (chars).

Operation 1: Chichawatni Police Arrest Notorious Dealer’s Brother

Under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Amjad Hussain, a police team from the Chichawatni Sadar Police Station conducted a raid at Chak 110/7R. The operation resulted in the successful apprehension of Nasir Shah, the brother of a notorious local drug lord, Asif Shah.

Police recovered 1,900 grams of hashish from Nasir Shah’s possession. A formal case has been registered against the suspect, and further legal proceedings have been initiated.

Operation 2: Noor Shah Police Apprehend Another Suspect

In a parallel development, the Noor Shah Police Station targeted drug peddling networks under the supervision of SHO Inspector Muhammad Arshad. Actively pursuing intelligence leads, the police team arrested a drug dealer identified as Razak.

  • 1,800 grams of hashish were recovered directly from Razak’s possession.

  • The suspect was taken into custody, and legal actions are currently underway.

Police Department Reaffirms Anti-Drug Vow

A spokesperson for the Sahiwal Police emphasized that indiscriminate operations against drug traffickers will continue unabated. The department remains fully committed to purging society of the menace of narcotics.
