Stray Dog Menace in Sher Garh: 10-Year-Old Boy Severely Injured in Attack

SHER GARH (Correspondent) – The rising population of stray and rabid dogs in Sher Garh and its surrounding areas has turned into a nightmare for residents. In a tragic incident yesterday, a 10-year-old boy was brutally attacked and injured by a rabid dog, sparking fear and outrage among the local community.

The Incident

According to reports, Muhammad Noman Nomi, son of Muhammad Javed (Ansari caste), a resident of Mehr Noor City, was returning home around 11:00 AM after attending his tuition classes.

As the child reached the vicinity of the local police station, a rabid dog lunged at him. The animal Mauld the young boy, leaving him severely wounded. Hearing Noman’s screams, a large number of local residents rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the child from the animal’s grip.

Medical Emergency

Yousaf Khurram Khan, a watchman in Sher Garh, along with other citizens, immediately transported the bleeding child to the Rural Health Center (RHC) Sher Garh. Medical staff confirmed that the boy has been administered the anti-rabies vaccine and is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

Citizens Demand Action

Local residents have expressed deep concern over the lack of administrative action. They noted that stray dogs have been roaming the streets of Sher Garh for several days, making it nearly impossible for citizens—especially children—to walk freely.
