SAHIWAL – In a significant boost to the region’s cultural prestige, the Sahiwal Arts Council has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first arts council in Punjab to be the subject of a comprehensive MPhil-level research thesis.
The academic work, which focuses on the council’s extensive literary and cultural contributions, marks a transition from administrative excellence to documented intellectual history.
Academic Recognition of Cultural Impact
The thesis was completed by Sadia Younis, a dedicated scholar from the Department of Urdu at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan. The research was conducted under the expert supervision of Dr. Zafar Hussain Harl.
The project benefited from a high-caliber academic framework:

This achievement solidifies Sahiwal’s position as a thriving hub for the arts and a guardian of Punjab’s rich heritage.
