Residents of Sher Garh Demand Establishment of Trauma Center at RHC to Save Lives

SHER GARH (Correspondent) The demand for a state-of-the-art Trauma Center at the Rural Health Center (RHC) Sher Garh is gaining momentum, as local residents voice their concerns over the rising number of fatalities due to a lack of emergency medical facilities.

Lack of Critical Care Facilities

While speaking to journalists at the Sher Garh City Press Club (Regd.), residents highlighted a sharp increase in traffic accidents, heart attacks, and paralytic strokes in Sher Garh and its surrounding areas. They lamented that despite the growing population and medical needs, the lack of immediate and high-quality emergency services is resulting in the loss of precious lives.

Dangers of Delayed Treatment

According to the locals, victims of accidents and patients suffering from cardiac or neurological emergencies often have to be shifted to distant hospitals in larger cities.

“The delay in treatment during the ‘golden hour’ significantly increases the risk of death,” a resident stated. “By the time we reach a specialized facility, it is often too late for the patient.”

Appeal to Punjab Government

The community has made a formal appeal to the Government of Punjab and the Health Department to address this crisis. Their key demands include:

  • The immediate establishment of a Trauma Center within the Sher Garh RHC.

  • Provision of modern medical equipment and specialized diagnostic tools.

  • Appointment of trained medical staff and emergency specialists to handle critical cases 24/7.

The residents urged the authorities to take swift action to ensure that the people of Sher Garh have access to effective and timely medical treatment in their own locality.
