SAHIWAL (March 09, 2026) – A prestigious solidarity rally was organized in Sahiwal today to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and to voice unwavering support for ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
The rally, organized by the District Administration, was led by Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq.
Participants and Route
The procession commenced from the Zila Council Hall and marched through various major thoroughfares of the city before culminating at the DPO Office Chowk. The event saw a massive turnout, representing a diverse cross-section of society:
Government Officials: Additional Deputy Commissioner General Niaz Ahmed Mughal, AC Sahiwal Maham Wahid, Registrar University of Sahiwal Syed Asghar Ali Shah, and heads of all provincial departments.
Religious and Social Leaders: Prominent figures including Maulana Zia-ullah Shah Bukhari and Pir Ehsan-ul-Haq Idrees.
Educational and Legal Representatives: Members of the legal fraternity alongside a large number of students from local schools, colleges, and universities.
Full Support for ‘Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq’
Participants chanted slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad” throughout the march. Addressing the media, Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq emphasized the nation’s unity:
“The sacrifices made by the Pakistan Armed Forces to eradicate terrorism are unforgettable. The entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our brave soldiers, and we salute their successes in Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.”
He further stated that all institutions and the public are on the same page regarding Pakistan’s peace and stability, asserting that any foreign interference or attempt to spread terror would be met with a resolute response.
Closing Prayer
At the conclusion of the rally, renowned scholar Maulana Zia-ullah Shah Bukhari led a special prayer for the country’s security, prosperity, and the final elimination of the menace of terrorism.
Attendees expressed that the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s existence remains a source of immense pride for every citizen.
