One Killed, Five Injured as Poultry Farm Roof Collapses in Renala Khurd

Okara, January 27, 2026:

A tragic accident occurred in Renala Khurd when the roof of a poultry farm collapsed during repair work, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to five others.

According to Rescue 1122, the incident took place at a poultry farm located on Sher Garh Road. At the time of the collapse, repair work was underway inside the facility when the structure suddenly gave way, trapping six workers under the debris.

Upon receiving information, rescue teams led by District Emergency Officer Zafar Iqbal immediately reached the scene and launched a search and rescue operation using modern equipment. After an intense effort, all six trapped individuals were pulled out from the rubble.

Unfortunately, one worker, identified as Shahid, son of Ilyas (35), succumbed to his injuries. His body was shifted to the THQ Hospital after completing necessary legal formalities.

The five injured individuals were provided first aid and transferred to DHQ City Hospital. They were identified as:

  • Shoaib, son of Farooq (28)
  • Ghulam Abbas, son of Abdul Ghafoor (42)
  • Irfan, son of Manzoor (32)
  • Muhammad Akram, son of Muhammad Subhan (55)
  • Ramzan, son of Muhammad Nazir (30)

The Assistant Commissioner of Renala Khurd and local police officials were also present at the site during the operation. A total of 22 Rescue 1122 personnel took part in the rescue efforts, utilizing two ambulances, two motorcycle rescue units, one rescue vehicle, and one fire vehicle.

The Rescue Safety Officer and District Emergency Officer supervised the operation on-site to ensure its successful completion.
