SAHIWAL: Director Development and Finance Shafiq Ahmed Dogar conducted a detailed review of ongoing development projects in the city being carried out under the PICIIP programme.
During the visit, he inspected the development work in progress at Comprehensive Chowk and directed the concerned authorities to further accelerate the pace of work. He emphasized that development projects at the city’s busiest intersections and major roads should be completed on a priority basis to minimize traffic congestion and ease commuting difficulties faced by citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Shafiq Ahmed Dogar said that the timely and quality completion of development schemes is a top priority of the government. He stressed that delays would not be tolerated and that all projects must meet the prescribed standards.
He also instructed the relevant officers and staff to ensure strict safety measures during the execution of development works so that the public does not face any inconvenience.
The director made it clear that only high-quality materials should be used in development projects and that no compromise would be accepted on the quality of work. He warned that strict action would be taken in case of negligence or substandard workmanship.
