Demand Raised to Restore Pak Business Express Stop at Chichawatni for Karachi and Lahore

Chichawatni (Sahiwal News – City Press Club): The suspension of the Pak Business Express stop at Chichawatni Railway Station for Karachi and Lahore has caused serious inconvenience to local passengers, prompting strong public demands for its immediate restoration.
According to details, the stop of Pak Business Express at Chichawatni Railway Station was approved in 2024 to facilitate travelers and had proved to be a major relief for passengers heading to Lahore and Karachi. The approval was made possible through the efforts of the then Chairman of the Standing Committee on Railways, Rai Hassan Nawaz Khan.
For nearly a year, Pak Business Express regularly stopped at Chichawatni, providing direct travel facilities to students, employees, traders, and the general public. The service significantly reduced travel time, expenses, and dependency on other cities for boarding long-distance trains.
However, after about a year, the stop was abruptly discontinued without any prior notice. The sudden closure has left residents of Chichawatni and surrounding areas facing serious difficulties, including longer journeys, additional travel costs, and the inconvenience of traveling to distant cities to catch trains.
Local residents have strongly urged the federal government and railway authorities to take immediate notice of the decision and restore the Pak Business Express stop at Chichawatni Railway Station at the earliest, so that the traveling public can be relieved of ongoing hardships.
