Matric Exams to Proceed as Scheduled; Local Holiday Does Not Apply: Controller Sahiwal Board

SAHIWAL (Bureau Report) – Dr. Rana Naveed Azmat, Controller of Examinations for the Sahiwal Board, has clarified that the local holiday announced by the Deputy Commissioner for Wednesday, April 1st, in observance of the Urs of Hazrat Baba Muhammad Panah, will not apply to the ongoing Matric Annual Examinations 2026.
No Change in Examination Schedule
In a press release issued from his office, Dr. Rana Naveed Azmat stated that all examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal will be conducted exactly according to the pre-announced schedule. Key details include:
Operational Centers: All examination centers will remain open and functional as usual.
Paper Timings: Exams will be held on the designated dates and times without any delay or postponement.
Full Preparedness: All necessary arrangements are in place to ensure transparency and provide a smooth experience for the students.
District Administration’s Decision
While the district administration has declared a public holiday at the local level due to the Urs, ongoing board examinations have been specifically exempted from this holiday to maintain educational continuity.
