Empowering Youth with Technology: DC Sahiwal Distributes Laptops at COMSATS University

In a move to bridge the digital divide and foster academic excellence, Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, stated that the Government of Pakistan is taking concrete steps to equip the youth with modern education and technology. He described the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme as a pivotal initiative in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed these views while addressing a prestigious ceremony held at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Sahiwal Campus, where laptops were distributed to high-achieving students.

During his address, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq lauded the university’s contribution to the region:
“COMSATS University has become a bright symbol of educational progress in this region. The professional services of the campus administration and faculty are truly commendable.”
He further emphasized that educational institutions serve as the backbone of any society, assuring that the district administration would continue to provide all possible support for the further development of the campus.

Land Allocation: Provision of additional land for campus expansion.
Infrastructure: Repair of the COMSATS Road from View Hotel to the Campus.
Beautification: Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the adjacent canal.
In response, the Deputy Commissioner assured the university administration that these matters would be addressed on a priority basis.
