Sahiwal Hosts Divisional Trials for “Khelta Punjab Pink Games 2026”

SAHIWAL (Staff Reporter) – Under the auspices of the Punjab Sports Department, the divisional-level trials for the Khelta Punjab Pink Games 2026 officially commenced in Sahiwal. The initial phase focused on selecting female athletes for the Hockey and Karate divisional teams.
Trial Venues and Selection Process
The trials were held at two separate locations to ensure professional evaluation:
Karate Trials: Conducted at the Zafar Ali Stadium, where young martial artists demonstrated their skills.
Hockey Trials: Organized at the Sahiwal Hockey Ground to scout top talent for the upcoming provincial competitions.
The selection process was supervised by representatives from various sports associations and senior veteran players to ensure merit-based recruitment.
Preparation for Provincial Finals
Divisional Sports Officer (DSO) Sahiwal, Chaudhry Nisar-ul-Haq, briefed the media during the event. He stated that the selected athletes from these trials will represent the Sahiwal Division in the main tournament held in Lahore. The contingent is scheduled to depart for Lahore on February 10.
Upcoming Events
The DSO further informed that the selection process is not yet over. Trials for other disciplines, including Weightlifting, Taekwondo, and Volleyball, are scheduled to take place on February 22, where athletes from across the division are expected to participate.
