APS Martyrs Remembered at Government Girls Model Pilot Secondary School Sahiwal

A commemorative ceremony was held at Government Girls Model Pilot Secondary School, Sahiwal, to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy. District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, attended the event as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the DPO said that December 16, 2014, remains one of the most tragic days in Pakistan’s history, a day that plunged the entire nation into deep sorrow. He added that despite the pain and grief, the APS tragedy also taught the nation invaluable lessons of unity, courage, and sacrifice.
Muhammad Usman Tipu emphasized that terrorism has no religion, faith, or humanity, and it must be confronted collectively. He urged the entire nation to stand united alongside security institutions to counter terrorism and all forms of extremism.
Speaking directly to the students, the DPO encouraged them to pursue their education with confidence and without fear, stating that education is the foundation of national progress and a brighter future. He reassured the students that all security institutions, including the Pakistan Army and Punjab Police, remain fully prepared and vigilant to ensure the safety of the public, especially students.
Concluding his address, the DPO said that the sacrifices of the APS martyrs would never go in vain and would always be remembered as a symbol of resilience and national unity.
