Fog-Related Accidents Claim Two Lives, Leave Two Injured in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL: Two people were killed and two others seriously injured in separate road accidents caused by dense fog across the Sahiwal Division, according to Traffic Police and Rescue 1122 officials.
In the first incident, three motorcyclists collided with a tractor-trolley on the Pakpattan–Sahiwal Road due to poor visibility. As a result, a 23-year-old laborer died on the spot, while two others—a 35-year-old and a 45-year-old laborer—sustained critical injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital in an unconscious condition, where they are receiving medical treatment.
In a second accident, a 65-year-old woman was crushed by an unidentified vehicle on GT Road near Adda Gamber, Okara during foggy conditions. She died at the scene. The deceased woman could not be identified immediately, and her body was transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police reached the scenes promptly and initiated investigations into both incidents. The tractor-trolley involved in the first accident was taken into custody, while drivers in both cases fled the scene. Further legal proceedings are underway.
