Commissioner Orders Stricter System to Prevent Exam Impersonation

Sahiwal (Staff Reporter) Commissioner Sahiwal Division and Chairman Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, has directed that the checking system in the board examinations be further strengthened to completely eliminate the chances of one candidate appearing in place of another.

He also instructed that an inter-board mechanism be developed to prevent the same candidate from appearing in exams of more than one board.

He issued these directives while presiding over the Board of Governors’ meeting in his office. The meeting was attended by Controller of Examinations Dr. Rana Naveed Azmat, Board Secretary Muhammad Fayaz Saleemi, Vice Chancellor University of Sahiwal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Javed Akhtar, Director Colleges Dr. Syeda Andlib, and the CEOs of Education from all three districts — Tanveer Ahmed Ghazali, Shazia Rafiq, and Muhammad Yousaf.

The meeting also reviewed the 2016 case in which a candidate submitted matriculation exam admissions simultaneously in both Multan and Sahiwal boards and was later issued a certificate by the Sahiwal Board. Following an inquiry against nine board employees in this matter, the board unanimously decided to acquit them of all charges.

Furthermore, the issue of granting honorarium to board employees for their services during matric and intermediate examinations was postponed. The Board Secretary was directed to reassess the eligibility of employees for the honorarium.

Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail also rejected the proposal to establish a Staff Training and Development Center for the training of board employees.
