Director Livestock Dr. Rana Abdul Rauf visited Akhtarabad, Renala Khurd, Shergarh, and Hujra Shah Muqeem in District Okara in connection with the second phase of the Chief Minister Punjab Livestock Card Scheme.
He urged the officers and staff to actively run the farmer registration campaign during the second phase of the Livestock Card Scheme. He also advised to ensure that farmers are fully informed and facilitated.
He also directed the authorities to recover the loan amounts as soon as possible from those farmers who have not yet repaid the loans issued during the first phase of the scheme.
History of Hujra Shah Muqeem
Hujra Shah Muqeem, located in Okara District, Punjab, Pakistan, is a historic town named after the revered Sufi saint Shah Muqeem, who settled in the area centuries ago. The term “Hujra” refers to the saint’s spiritual retreat, around which people gradually built a settlement.
