Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Visits Government Haji Abdul Qayyum DHQ Hospital

SAHIWAL – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sahiwal, Shahid Mahmood, conducted an extensive visit to the Government Haji Abdul Qayyum District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital to monitor the delivery of healthcare services and administrative efficiency.

Accompanied by Chief Executive Officer (Health) Dr. Abdul Majeed Niazi and Medical Superintendent Dr. Muhammad Saleem Gondal, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the overall operations of the facility.

Comprehensive Inspection of Medical Facilities

During his visit, DC Shahid Mahmood toured various departments, including the Emergency Ward, Outpatient Department (OPD), and Medicine Supply Centers. Key areas of focus included:

  • Medicine Availability: Checking the stock and distribution of free medicines to ensure no patient is turned away.

  • Sanitation: Reviewing cleanliness protocols to ensure a hygienic environment for patients and staff.

  • Patient Feedback: The DC interacted directly with patients and their attendants to inquire about the quality of treatment and the behavior of the medical staff.

Inauguration of Modern Medical Equipment

A highlight of the visit was the inauguration of a state-of-the-art color ultrasound machine. This modern diagnostic tool was donated to the hospital by the renowned social welfare group, “Farishta Family.”

The Deputy Commissioner lauded the “Farishta Family” for their generous contribution, stating:
