Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail, said that the public should be fully guided on how to use the Punjab government’s e-biz portal.
Through the e-biz portal, the government has made it easier to get commercial building maps approved, and now anyone can submit an application from home using e-biz.
He was chairing a performance review meeting of the Planning Branch of the Municipal Corporation at his office.
The meeting was attended by Municipal Officer Planning Muhammad Ejaz Hussain, In-charge Planning Branch Masood Ahmad Madni, and Building Inspector Muhammad Bilal.
Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail instructed that pending applications for the approval of residential building maps should be decided quickly.
He said that action on pending applications for the approval of new housing schemes should be expedited, and legal action should be taken against housing schemes operating without permission.
During the briefing, Municipal Officer Planning Muhammad Ejaz Hussain informed that the corporation has received 174 applications for residential building map plans since July 1, out of which 50 have been approved.
He further stated that 33 applications for commercial building plans have been received, out of which 20 have been approved.
Similarly, out of 37 applications for land use conversion, 17 have been approved. He added that the Planning Branch has collected Rs. 164.727 million in revenue so far in the current financial year.
