Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail, took notice of the closure of Rajbah 9L, which has disrupted canal water supply to 160,000 acres of agricultural land.
He visited Manzoor Colony Bridge to review the ongoing PSP project work on Rajbah 9L. Director Development and Finance Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, XEN Lower Bari Doab Muhammad Talha, and City Manager PSP Muhammad Asjad Khan accompanied him.
Dr. Asif Tufail stated that canal water supply to farmers cannot be suspended for a long time. He directed PICIIP officials to ensure that all work is completed within the next five days under all circumstances.
Expressing displeasure over inadequate safety measures at the work site, he instructed that foolproof safety arrangements be put in place to protect human lives.
Later, he also visited the Bairun Lari Adda, where he directed authorities to speed up the ongoing sewerage and repair work. He instructed corporation officials to pay special attention to providing better facilities for passengers.
The Commissioner also visited Railway Road and directed that the ongoing work be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
