CHICHAWATNI (January 11, 2026) – The annual elections of the Chichawatni Bar Association for the year 2026 concluded yesterday, with Advocate Chaudhry Sajjad Gujjar elected as President and Advocate Chaudhry Gulfam Tabassum as General Secretary after a closely contested battle.

The polling process began at 9:00 AM and continued uninterrupted until 5:00 PM. According to the final count:
President: Chaudhry Sajjad Gujjar, Advocate, secured a narrow victory with 297 votes. He defeated his opponent, Ahmed Hassan Waraich, who received 294 votes, winning by a margin of just 3 votes.
General Secretary: Chaudhry Gulfam Tabassum, Advocate, won the seat with 318 votes. He defeated Kainatullah Sandhu, Advocate, who managed to secure 282 votes.
Election officials announced that the results for the remaining cabinet positions will be officially released later today.
