Bold Heist at Ajwa Mart Chichawatni; Dacoits in Police Uniform Loot Lakhs

CHICHAWATNI: In a daring robbery that has raised serious concerns over public safety, five armed dacoits looted Ajwa Mart, located on Okanwala Road opposite Jinnah Town Phase 1, fleeing with cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
The Deception
According to sources, the suspects arrived at the scene in a black Toyota Corolla. Utilizing a calculated deception to bypass security, the gang approached the mart’s security guard claiming to be officials from the CCD. They demanded to “inspect” his weapon for verification.
Modus Operandi
The group was organized and disguised to blend in:
One dacoit was dressed in a formal police uniform.
Three were wearing trousers and shirts.
One was dressed in traditional Shalwar Kameez.
Once the guard was distracted, the suspects overpowered him at gunpoint and took him hostage. After neutralizing the security, they broke the locks of the mart, ransacked the premises, and escaped with a significant amount of cash and high-value items.
Security Concerns
The audacity of the criminals—operating in broad daylight and using official uniforms—has placed a question mark on the performance of law enforcement agencies responsible for maintaining law and order in the district.
Local residents and the business community have expressed outrage over the incident, calling for the immediate arrest of the gang and better patrolling in commercial zones. Police have reportedly begun an investigation, collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to trace the getaway vehicle.
