AIOU Sahiwal Campus Hosts Prestigious Laptop Distribution Ceremony Under PM Youth Scheme

SAHIWAL – A high-profile ceremony was held at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Regional Campus, Sahiwal, to distribute laptops among merit-holding students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme.

The event was graced by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood and Director General of Regional Services, Malik Tauqeer Ahmad Khan, who attended as the guests of honor.

Director General Dr. Malik Tauqeer Ahmad Khan highlighted the university’s commitment to digital transformation. He informed the audience that it is a matter of great pride for Allama Iqbal Open University that over 2,500 students have already benefited from this scheme. He advised the students to make these devices a primary source for knowledge acquisition and deep research.

Following the distribution of laptops, the ceremony concluded on an eco-friendly note. The Vice Chancellor and other guests participated in a tree-planting drive by planting saplings in the university lawn, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to a greener Pakistan.
