Section 144 Imposed in Sahiwal for AIOU Autumn 2025 Semester Exams

SAHIWAL – To ensure the transparency and security of the upcoming Autumn 2025 semester examinations conducted by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, has officially imposed Section 144 across the district.

The examinations are scheduled to take place from March 2 to May 11, 2026. The restrictive measures have been implemented to prevent the use of unfair means, maintain law and order, and avert any untoward incidents in and around the examination centers.

Strict Security Measures and Restrictions

Under the directive, several strict regulations are now in effect within a 100-yard radius of all designated examination centers:

  • Restricted Entry: Only candidates with valid roll number slips and authorized examination staff are permitted to enter the premises.

  • Prohibition of Gatherings: All forms of protests, processions, or public demonstrations are strictly banned within the vicinity.

  • Digital & Physical Bans: Candidates and staff are prohibited from carrying mobile phones, digital diaries, books, guides, solved papers, or any related cheating materials into the centers.

  • Zero Tolerance for Malpractice: Any attempt to use unfair means by students, invigilators, or outsiders will be met with severe legal and departmental action.

Designated Examination Centers

The imposition of Section 144 specifically applies to the following key locations in District Sahiwal:

  1. Government Graduate College, Sahiwal

  2. Government Graduate College for Boys, Chichawatni

  3. Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Jahaz Ground, Sahiwal

Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Farooq emphasized that these protective measures are indispensable for maintaining the integrity of the educational process. Local law enforcement has been briefed to strictly monitor these zones and ensure a peaceful environment for the students throughout the two-month examination period.
