In Pakistan’s evolving literary landscape—where classical and contemporary writing styles coexist—a name has quickly captured the hearts of readers: Suniya Mirza.

An emerging novelist who writes in both English and Urdu, Suniya has distinguished herself with stories that resonate deeply across linguistic and cultural boundaries.

The Beginning of a Literary Journey

Suniya Mirza began her writing career as a student back in 2000. Her early efforts matured into professional writing when she started contributing to renowned social magazines such as Kiran, Shuaa, and Khawateen Digest in 2008. From the outset, her stories reflected real emotions and relatable truths.

Academic Excellence and Teaching Career

She earned her Master’s degree in English Literature from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. In 2016, she embarked on her teaching journey as an English Lecturer at Divisional Public School & College, Chichawatni. Her academic background enriches her fiction with intellectual depth and literary finesse.

International Recognition Through Fiction

In November 2021, Suniya published her first English novel titled “Eve, Adam and Satan” with North Haven USA. The book became available on Amazon, garnering notable attention, particularly among younger readers.

In 2022, the same novel was translated into Urdu and released by Ilm-o-Irfan Publishers as “Hawwa, Adam Aur Shaitan” —a version that took the local literary scene by storm.

The book attracted praise from notable figures such as columnist and analyst Ata ul Haq Qasmi, and HUM TV’s Content Head, Faisal Manzoor Khan. The novel also inspired an academic thesis at Suniya’s alma mater, Bahauddin Zakariya University.

Mera Masiha – A Voice for the Youth

Suniya’s third novel, Mera Masiha, was published in 2023 by Yasir Publishers, Lahore, and officially launched at the 36th International Book Fair at Expo Center Lahore. The novel received acclaim for addressing contemporary emotional and psychological issues faced by young adults.

“Main Maya aur Mohabbat” is another masterpiece by Suniya which attracted the literary circles. It describes the eternal tale of love.

A Writing Style with Soul

Suniya Mirza’s prose has a magical quality—simple, yet profound. Her stories touch the reader’s heart while offering subtle moral lessons without sounding preachy. Her writing connects on a deeply emotional level, offering comfort, insight, and at times, silent guidance. She once stated:

Before I take my last breath, I want to write something so meaningful that it keeps me alive forever.

This quote reflects the soul and sincerity that defines her creative vision.

Beyond Books – Scripts for the Screen

Suniya has also collaborated with Indian producer Dr. Rajan Gupta on multiple short film scripts for USA Imperfect Movies. Her prose poems, short stories, and serialized novels regularly appear in literary magazines both in Pakistan and abroad.
