The estimated income of BISE Sahiwal has been projected at Rs. 1.74 billion.

SAHIWAL – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal has officially approved its annual budget for the fiscal year 2025–26. The financial roadmap was greenlit during a high-level meeting of the Board of Governors, chaired by Commissioner Sahiwal Division and Board Chairperson, Dr. Asif Tufail.

The budget highlights a strategic shift toward sustainability and administrative efficiency, despite a projected fiscal deficit for the upcoming year.

Financial Outlook: Revenue and Expenditure

The board has projected a total estimated income of Rs. 1.74 billion against an estimated expenditure of Rs. 1.998 billion. The primary drivers of the board’s revenue remain:

  • Examination Fees: Estimated at Rs. 739.6 million.

  • Institutional Registration: Estimated at Rs. 572.4 million.

The bulk of the expenditures are earmarked for the conduct of examinations and staff salaries. To balance the rising operational costs, the meeting also approved revisions to processing, certificate, and development fees.

Transition to Solar Energy

A standout feature of the 2025–26 budget is the solarization project for the board’s newly constructed building. This initiative is expected to significantly slash electricity costs, redirecting those savings toward academic and developmental projects.

“The shift to solar energy is a forward-thinking move that will ensure long-term financial stability and environmental responsibility for the board,” officials noted during the session.

Relief for Employees

In a move to support its workforce, the Board of Governors approved a 10% salary increase for all employees, aligning with the Punjab Government’s recent pay raise policy. Additionally, in recognition of their hard work, officers and staff involved in the meticulous preparation of the budget were awarded a bonus equivalent to one basic salary.
