In Punjab Budget 2025, a 10% increase in Salaries expected

In Punjab’s budget 2025, a 10% increase in salaries and an additional allocation of Rs. 110 billion for education is expected.

According to details, the provincial budget will be presented on June 16. Sources indicate that no new taxes will be imposed. An additional Rs. 90 billion is expected to be allocated for health. The budget also includes a proposal to provide extra funds to farmers for wheat and rice seeds and fertilizers.

Similarly, like the federal government, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is also expected to announce a 10% increase in salaries and a 7% increase in pensions in the upcoming budget. Sources suggest the budget may total Rs. 2,070 billion.

Out of this, Rs. 1,352 billion are likely to be allocated for current expenditures, Rs. 680 billion for salaries, and Rs. 200 billion for pensions. Sources say the KP government is expected to receive Rs. 1,148 billion under the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
