OKARA – In a swift operation, the Satghara Police have arrested a suspect involved in the sexual assault of a young child, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson for the Okara Police, the incident involved a 7-year-old boy who was forcibly assaulted by the perpetrator. Following the report, the Satghara Police acted immediately to apprehend the suspect, identified as Waseem, who is now in police custody.
Investigation Details
The police have formally registered a case against the accused. To ensure a thorough legal process, the investigation has been handed over to the Special Sexual Offences Investigation Unit (SSOIU).

District Police Officer (DPO) Okara, Rashid Hidayat, issued a stern statement regarding the incident, emphasizing the safety of vulnerable groups.
Red Line: The DPO stated that crimes against women and children represent a “red line” for the department.

Justice: “The accused will be given exemplary punishment in accordance with the law,” DPO Hidayat added.
