SAHIWAL (Police Spokesperson): Foolproof security arrangements were put in place across Sahiwal division on the occasion of New Year Night 2026. District Police Officer Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, personally remained present in the field and conducted visits to various important squares and intersections of the city to review the security plan.
During his visit, the DPO inspected police officers and personnel deployed at different checkpoints and issued strict instructions to ensure zero tolerance against hooliganism, one-wheeling, aerial firing, and all other illegal activities. He directed the force to take immediate and indiscriminate action against violators to maintain law and order.
The DPO also visited a church, where he met members of the Christian community and cut a cake with them to mark the New Year. On the occasion, he assured the minority community of complete protection, stating that Sahiwal Police remain fully alert at all times to safeguard the lives and property of all citizens.
Muhammad Usman Tipu said that maintaining peace and order is the top priority of the police, and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
