Sahiwal (Sahiwal Police Spox) According to details, a girl from Tandlianwala was lured to Sahiwal by her social media friend and his accomplice on the pretext of providing her with a job, after which she was subjected to gang rape.
The victim belongs to Bherwan village in Tandlianwala. She had developed an acquaintance with a well-known Sahiwal-based social media influencer, which turned into a friendship during online interactions.
During this period, the accused promised to arrange a job for her, citing his political connections with the ruling party.
The girl was called to Sahiwal on Thursday evening for a meeting. Upon her arrival, the accused took her in his car to a house, where she was given a soft drink allegedly mixed with an intoxicating substance.
Later, the accused and his accomplice allegedly sexually assaulted her throughout the night.
The next morning, the girl was dropped off at the general bus stand and was threatened with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident.
The victim reported the matter to the Galla Mandi police station, following which a case has been registered against the accused. The suspects are still at large.
