SAHIWAL (Police Spokesperson): In line with the directives of the Punjab Government and Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, and on the instructions of District Police Officer Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, a traffic awareness camp was organized at Jahaz Ground Chowk.
During the camp, free helmets and awareness pamphlets were distributed among citizens, highlighting the importance of complying with traffic laws. The public was informed about the dangers of riding motorcycles without helmets, use of non-standard number plates, underage driving, one-way violations, and other traffic law violations.
Legal action was also taken against traffic rule violators on the spot, and challans were issued to several vehicles.
DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu stated that strict enforcement of traffic laws is essential, and indiscriminate action against violators will continue to ensure the protection of precious human lives.
