Eid Milan Mushaira held at MC High School Chichawatni
Eid Milan Mushaira was presided over by the renowned poet Dr. Adnan Basheer.
Chichawatni (Sahiwal News – Web Desk) A grand Eid Milan Mushaira (poetic gathering) was organized under the auspices of the literary and academic organization “Mukalma”.
The event was presided over by the renowned researcher, critic, and poet of Urdu language and literature, Dr. Adnan Basheer.
The guests of honor included the celebrated fiction writer Malik Basheer Ahmad, author of three short story collections, and the well-known actor, voice artist, producer, and poet Tanveer Syed. The host of the evening was the prominent poet and writer Salman Basheer, who is also the organizer of “Mukalma”.
Participants included young poet Jamshed Jami who writes in the Rachnavi language, Hafiz Ahsan Manzoor who has earned distinctions in national-level poetry contests, President of Hub-ul-Adab Babar Ilyas, the uniquely styled Dr. Umeed Qasir, English literature professor and poet Mirza Tahir Rizwan, educationist and poet Manzoor-ul-Haq, poet of “Dharkanon Ke Raag” Nazar Hussain Munir, Arabic language teacher and prosody expert Maqsood Ahmad Saqib, as well as the guest of honor and session chair Dr. Adnan Basheer — all of whom enriched the evening with their poetry.
Muhammad Ashraf Zahid and Muhammad Saleem Ansari also participated as special guests. It is worth noting that this was the 142nd literary session organized by “Mukalma”.
The organization regularly holds literary and academic events every Sunday, attracting scholars and artists from across the country.
