How many Divisions and Districts are in Gilgit-Baltistan

As of 2025, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), a self-governing administrative territory of Pakistan, has 3 divisions and 14 districts.

Divisions and their districts:

1. Gilgit Division

  • Gilgit
  • Hunza
  • Nagar
  • Ghizer
  • Gupis–Yasin

2. Baltistan Division

  • Skardu
  • Shigar
  • Kharmang
  • Ghanche

3. Diamer Division

  • Diamer
  • Astore
  • Darel
  • Tangir

Notes:

The Darel and Tangir districts were carved out of Diamer district in 2019. Each division is headed by a Commissioner, and each district by a Deputy Commissioner.

Gilgit-Baltistan has its own legislative assembly and governance structure, but it is not officially a province of Pakistan.
