Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal holds a meeting for DC Valuation Table

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Shahid Mahmood, regarding the recovery of government dues in the district and the preparation of the DC Valuation Table for the fiscal year 2025–2026.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Captain (R) Osama Majid Cheema, Assistant Commissioners Rana Aurangzeb and Narjis Khatoon Jafri, along with other relevant revenue officers.
The meeting reviewed the pace of recovery of all outstanding government dues, current performance, and the challenges being faced. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood instructed all concerned officers to ensure the recovery of dues on a priority basis and emphasized that any kind of delay or negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
He directed the officers to ensure timely and complete recovery of dues, stating that meeting recovery targets is not only essential for financial discipline but also a measure of the efficiency of government machinery.
Detailed discussions were also held on the DC Valuation Table for the year 2025–2026. It was proposed that the new property valuations should be based on ground realities, market rates, and recommendations of the Revenue Department so that government revenue can be increased and a fair system can be provided to the public.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that, in accordance with the directives of the Government of Punjab, full implementation of the prescribed rules and regulations must be ensured, as sound financial management and transparency are key to restoring public trust.
