SAHIWAL – The courts of the Sahiwal Club were abuzz with athletic energy this week as the Annual Lawn Tennis Tournament reached its thrilling conclusion. The event, which has become a staple of the regional sports calendar, saw over 40 elite players from across the division competing for the top honors.
Final Match Highlights
The centerpiece of the tournament—the Men’s Doubles final—featured an intense showdown between the duo of Zeeshan Sheikh and Hashim Sheikh and the formidable team of Asif Rauf and Hamza Naeem.
In a display of powerful serves and strategic baseline play, the Sheikh brothers dominated the court, securing a straight-sets victory with a score of 6-4 and 6-3. Their coordination and agility throughout the match earned them a standing ovation from the club members and sports enthusiasts in attendance.
Senior Category Results
The competition was equally fierce in the Senior Category. The final match pitted Asif Rauf and Fayyaz Nazir against Muzamil and Wajahat. Ultimately, the Ola Lazkar team emerged victorious, showcasing the enduring skill and competitive spirit of the region’s veteran players.
