DC Sahiwal imposed section 144 to stop bathing in Ravi River

DC Sahiwal, Shahid Mehmood, has imposed Section 144 across the district to prevent potential accidents due to swimming in the Ravi River and canals during the summer season.
This restriction will remain in effect from June 20 to July 19, 2025. Under this order, citizens are strictly prohibited from bathing or swimming in the Ravi River and all canals within the district.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that this measure has been taken for public safety in order to protect precious human lives from possible accidents.
The district administration has appealed to the public to comply with this order and to prevent children from going near these dangerous areas. Legal action will be taken in case of any violation.
