  • Scope: The ban applies to all urban zones within the Sahiwal district.

  • Enforcement: Relevant departments and law enforcement agencies have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the new regulations.

A Call for Civic Cooperation

Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Farooq emphasized that the presence of animal-driven carts often leads to significant disruptions in the smooth flow of modern traffic. He urged citizens to cooperate with the administration to make the initiative a success.

“Maintaining cleanliness, discipline, and efficient traffic management is a collective responsibility of both the administration and the public,” stated DC Samiullah Farooq.

The administration believes this step will significantly modernize the city’s transport landscape and provide a safer environment for pedestrians and motorists alike.
