World Environment Day Seminar held at Sahiwal Arts Council
The purpose of observing world environment day is to raise awareness against plastic pollution.
In connection with World Environment Day, a seminar was organized at the Sahiwal Arts Council.
Addressing the event, Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed said that the purpose of observing this day is to raise awareness against plastic pollution.
The government is spending billions of rupees to control environmental pollution, but it is essential that we all do our part and support the government in keeping the environment clean and healthy.
He stated that to pull the country out of its problems, every individual must fulfill their responsibilities sincerely. Only then will the country progress, the environment remain clean, and peace be maintained.
He further said that on Eid-ul-Adha, we must act as responsible citizens and, instead of dumping the remains of sacrificial animals, we should place them in bags and deliver them to the designated collection points.
