Wave of Abductions in Sahiwal: 8 Females Kidnapped, Police Rescue Two Girls

SAHIWAL: A series of alarming abduction incidents has gripped the Sahiwal district, where eight females, including four minors, were reportedly kidnapped in separate incidents. In a swift response, the district police have registered seven cases, arrested four suspects, and successfully recovered two young students.

Details of the Incidents

The abductions took place across various locations in the district, involving armed suspects and vehicles:

  • Chak 86/6-R: Four unidentified armed men forcibly abducted a 16-year-old student at gunpoint from her home and fled in a car.

  • Chak 101/6-AR: A girl was intercepted by a suspect named Waris and three accomplices while returning from the market. She was bundled into a car.

  • Chak 117/9-L: An 18-year-old girl was kidnapped by unidentified armed men while she was returning home from the fields.

  • Christian Colony, Chichawatni: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by Rawal Masih, Shahzad Masih, Jolly Bibi, and Lisa.

  • Chak 42/12-L: A 21-year-old woman was taken from her home in a rickshaw by suspects identified as Aamir, Muhammad Yasin, Bushra Tooti, and others.

  • Chak 87/6-R: Two sisters, aged 19 and 15, were kidnapped by unknown persons while on their way to visit their grandmother.

  • Chak 18/14-L: A girl was forcibly abducted by a suspect named Abid and three others in an APV vehicle.

Police Action and Recoveries

Following these reports, Sahiwal Police—including Farid Town, Harappa, Kameer, City Chichawatni, Saddar Chichawatni, and Shah Kot stations—registered seven separate FIRs under sections 365, 365-B, and 496-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The cases were filed on the complaints of Kaneezan Bibi, Akbar Bibi, Muhammad Afzal, Sajjad Masih, Shamim Akhtar, Falak Sher, and Muhammad Mujahid Hussain.

Current Progress: Police officials confirmed that four suspects have been arrested so far. During the initial operations, two minor schoolgirls were safely recovered and reunited with their families. Raids are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects and recover the other victims.
