Sahiwal: Distribution of Rs. 10,000 cheques among sanitary workers

Sanitation workers of Sahiwal played a crucial role in keeping the cities clean.

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Pir Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, has said that for the first time in Punjab’s history, such exemplary cleanliness was witnessed in Sahiwal division. It was widely appreciated by the public.

He said that sanitation workers played a crucial role in keeping the cities clean by working with dedication and diligence.

“These workers are our real heroes. It is our duty to acknowledge their hard work and services,” he added.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized to distribute cheques of Rs. 10,000 each among sanitation workers of the Sahiwal Water and Sanitation Services Company, on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Member of Punjab Assembly Malik Qasim Nadeem, Acting Commissioner Shahid Mehmood, former MNA Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, CEO of Sahiwal Water and Sanitation Services Company Iftikhar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Niaz Ahmed Mughal, AC General Ghulam Hussain Bhatti, and Assistant Commissioner Sahiwal Rana Aurangzeb were also present on the occasion.

Federal Minister Pir Syed Imran Ahmad Shah said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, they are moving towards a clean, healthy, and prosperous Punjab.

He noted that it was the first time the Punjab government acknowledged sanitation staff both financially and morally in such a manner, which marked the beginning of a positive new tradition.

He further stated that the honorarium given by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a recognition of the hard work of the workers.

MPA Sahiwal Malik Qasim Nadeem Remarks

MPA Malik Qasim Nadeem said, “We are proud of the ‘Clean Punjab’ staff – no amount of thanks is enough.”

He emphasized that every individual should play their part in keeping their streets and neighborhoods clean and support the administration in realizing Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s dream of a clean Punjab.

CEO of Sahiwal Water and Sanitation Services Company, Iftikhar Ali, said that the company is ensuring cleanliness not only in urban areas but also in villages.

He added that all available resources are being utilized for cleanliness, and there is no room for negligence or delay in this matter. He appealed to citizens to cooperate with the sanitation staff to ensure cleanliness.
