Case Registered Against Patient’s Relatives for Chaos at Sahiwal Hospital

Farid Town Police Station has registered a case against patient’s relatives for chaos at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital.

According to details, a 60-year-old patient from Arifwala city passed away in Medical Ward No. 2 of Sahiwal Teaching hospital. Following the death, the patient’s relatives chanted slogans against the doctors and staff, accusing them of negligence.

The family members created chaos, harassed the staff, and began beating them, causing doctors and nurses to flee the scene. The accused held Dr. Hina Shahid and staff nurse Aleeza hostage. Afterwards, they took away the ward’s medical charts.

The hospital administration called the police helpline (15), upon which police arrived and arrested four individuals involved in the incident: Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Azam, Muhammad Javed, and Muhammad Azeem. Other suspects managed to flee from the hospital.

Sahiwal’s Farid Town Police registered a case on the complaint of Chief Security Officer Muhammad Latif Mujahid and have started an investigation.

Farid Town Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining suspects.
