Sahiwal: 10th-Grade Female Student Abducted at Gunpoint

SAHIWAL (Staff Reporter) Fear and panic gripped the suburban area of Chak 64/5-L after a 10th-grade student, the daughter of a security guard, was kidnapped in broad daylight while on her way to school. While police have managed to apprehend three suspects, the victim remains missing.

The Incident

According to details, the daughter of a security guard identified as (R), a student of class 10, left her home yesterday at approximately 7:30 AM to attend school. As she neared the educational institution, unidentified armed men in a white car intercepted her. The assailants forcibly dragged the girl into the vehicle at gunpoint and sped away from the scene.

Police Action and Investigation

Following the incident, the Yousafwala Police Station registered a formal case under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of the girl’s father.

Through swift investigative measures, the police traced several suspects, including:

  • Zubair (Main suspect)

  • Rani (Zubair’s mother)

  • Sania (Zubair’s sister)

  • Sajid and Abid (Accomplices)

During recent raids, the police confirmed the arrest of three suspects involved in the planning or execution of the crime.

Family’s Plea

Despite the arrests, the abducted student has not yet been recovered. The victim’s father and local residents have expressed grave concern over the safety of girls in the area. The family has appealed to the District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal and higher authorities to expedite the search operation and ensure the safe recovery of the student.

Police officials stated that they are conducting further raids and utilizing technical surveillance to locate the girl and arrest the remaining suspects.
