DPS Sahiwal Teachers Get Three-Year Extension; New Hiring Committee Formed

Divisional Public School and Colleges Sahiwal extends contracts of Ravi and Cambridge Campus Teachers by three years.

The Board of Trustees of the Sahiwal Education Trust approved a three-year extension in the contracts of teachers from the Ravi and Cambridge campuses during a meeting chaired by Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail.

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mehmood and Director Development Shafiq Ahmad Dogar were also present on the occasion.

Additional Commissioner Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, Principal Akbar Ali, and board members Dr. Shehzad Tahir Chaudhry, Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood, Mehr Allah Yar Khan, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, and College Bursar Kashif Sattar attended the meeting.

The board formed a recruitment committee to hire new teachers. The committee will interview candidates who pass the written test.

Principal DPS Sahiwal Akbar Ali reported that the administration received 1,764 applications for 46 senior teacher and 64 junior teacher positions.

The board postponed the approval of the 2025–26 fiscal year budget and decided to reconstitute the finance committee. The new committee will review the budget in detail and present it to the board for final approval.

While addressing the meeting, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail emphasized that the success of DPS and the trust of parents depend on discipline and merit, and no one should compromise on these core values.
