SAHIWAL (Sahiwal Police Spokesperson): District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, carried out late-night surprise visits to Bahadar Shah, Noor Shah, Yousafwala and Ghalla Mandi police stations.
During the visits, the DPO reviewed police records and sought detailed information from the front desks as well as about prisoners held in the lock-ups.
DPO Muhammad Usman Tipu stressed the importance of ensuring the welfare of detainees and strictly lawful custody, stating that every police officer must adhere to standards of public service and transparency. He made it clear that illegal detention would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The surprise visits were part of ongoing efforts to monitor the performance of police stations, ensure compliance with the law, and reinforce the commitment to protecting citizens’ rights and safety.
