District Traffic Officer Sahiwal Leads Crackdown on Violators

SAHIWAL (News Desk): Following the directives of high-ranking officials, the Sahiwal Traffic Police have intensified their efforts to enforce road safety laws. District Traffic Officer (DTO) Sahiwal Mirza Tanveer Baig, accompanied by the local SHO, established special checkpoints across the city to take strict action against traffic violations.

Focus of the Crackdown

During the operation, the traffic police targeted specific violations that compromise public safety and order. Strict legal action was taken against:

  • Motorcyclists without helmets.

  • Drivers operating vehicles without a valid driving license.

  • Vehicles with tinted windows (black papers).

  • Vehicles displaying non-standard or unauthorized number plates.

Statement from DTO Sahiwal

Speaking at the checkpoint, DTO Mirza Tanveer Baig emphasized that the primary goal of this crackdown is to protect the lives and property of citizens while ensuring smooth traffic flow.

“This campaign will continue unabated until there is complete compliance with the law. We are committed to establishing traffic discipline in Sahiwal,” he stated.

Appeal to Citizens

The DTO appealed to the general public to strictly adhere to traffic regulations. He noted that following the law is not just a legal obligation but a hallmark of a civilized society. He urged parents to discourage underage driving and ensured that no leniency would be shown to habitual offenders.
