Chichawatni City Police Crack Down on Kite Flying; Three Arrested

Chichawatni (Staff Reporter) – Following the strict directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Mohammad Usman Tippu, the Chichawatni City Police have intensified their operations against illegal kite flying, resulting in the arrest of three individuals.

Police Action and Recoveries

The City Chichawatni Police conducted a targeted raid against violators of the Kite Flying Act. During the operation, the police apprehended three suspects found engaged in illegal activities. Authorities recovered:

  • 22 Kites

  • Several chemical-coated string spools (Manjha/Pinay)

Legal Proceedings

According to a spokesperson for the Sahiwal Police, separate cases have been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Punjab Prohibition of Kite Flying Act.

The Sahiwal Police have reiterated that the crackdown will continue without discrimination to protect citizens’ lives from the lethal risks associated with chemical strings. DPO Mohammad Usman Tippu has urged parents and civil society to play their role in discouraging this dangerous activity.
