Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mehmood, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner General Niaz Ahmad Mughal, paid a detailed visit to Faridia Park Sahiwal.
They closely reviewed the ongoing development work in the park, especially the installation of new green belts and CCTV cameras.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the relevant departments to complete all development activities within the stipulated time. He advised to keep in view public convenience and the beautification of the city, so that citizens can enjoy a clean, safe, and pleasant recreational environment.
While inspecting the newly developed green belts, he instructed the Parks and Horticulture Authority to plant species that are suitable for the local climate and require less water, yet remain green for longer periods, contributing to the city’s beauty.
During a briefing on the installation of CCTV cameras, the concerned officers informed him that cameras are being installed at all entry and exit points of the park, as well as other key locations, to establish a modern and effective security system.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mehmood said that upgrading all recreational facilities in the city along modern lines and making them safe and attractive is among the top priorities of the district administration.
