RTA Sahiwal launched Crackdown on illegal LPG cylinders in public transport

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Shahid Mehmood, the Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a crackdown against illegally installed LPG cylinders in public transport vehicles.

During the operation, more than 80 vehicles were found with hazardous LPG cylinders, which were removed on the spot.

According to the district administration Sahiwal, protecting the lives and property of citizens is a top priority, and no transporter will be allowed to play with human lives.

The zero-tolerance policy against the use of illegal and dangerous fuel will continue to be strictly enforced.

Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Shahid Mehmood clarified that the objective of such actions is not only to enforce the law but also to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives.

He warned transporters that any repeat violations will result in strict legal action.
